In World Hug Group we are working for the safety and wellbeing of all children.
We would like to invite you to join us and learn how you can contribute to have safe, healthy and happy children around you. Why is it important? Because "one third of people that visits a doctor is about something stress-related." Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are different traumatic events that occur in childhood. Many people do not realize that exposure to ACEs is associated with increased risk of poor health, economic struggle and challenging life outcomes. Preventing child abuse would immediately increase the quality of life of our entire society.

It is not easy to do or say something when we witness abuse, even when we know it's the right thing to do. Many times we can think that it is none of our business or that someone else will do something about it. The truth is that taking action may give the person we are concerned about a chance to get to a safe place or leave the abusive situation. You don’t have to be a hero or even stand out from the crowd to make a big difference in someone’s life. You just need to do something.

We know that abuse has many expressions and it can happen to children, women and men. It does not depend on a social class, country or gender. It happens everywhere, every day.
More often, children can't recognize abuse, and that's why we need to get informed and trained to be able to diffuse an abusive situation. Sometimes this only means to distract someone who appears to be targeting a victim, or even enlisting others so there isn't a chance that the potential offender can spend time alone with the victim. |
